9. Owen Burns
In Alpena Township, Michigan, 13-year-old Owen Burns heard his 8-year-old sister scream while she was in the backyard. He initially thought she was playing, but a second, more urgent scream made him realize she was in danger.
Looking out the window, Owen saw a stranger attempting to kidnap his sister. Without hesitation, Owen grabbed a slingshot and fired marbles and rocks at the attacker. Six-year-old Bridger Walker from Wyoming showed incredible courage when he shielded his younger sister from a charging dog. While playing at a friend’s house, a German shepherd mix attacked them.
Bridger bravely stepped in front of his sister, taking the brunt of the attack. He was bitten multiple times on his face and head but told his sister to run to safety. Even after undergoing surgery and receiving over 90 stitches, Bridger said, “If someone had to die, I thought it should be me.”
His selfless act of bravery captured the hearts of many, including celebrities like Chris Evans and Tom Holland, who honored him with gifts and invitations. Bridger’s courage made him an honorary champion and inspired people worldwide.
7. Bryce Brooks
Sixteen-year-old Bryce Brooks from Atlanta, Georgia, was vacationing in Florida when he and his friends saw four younger kids being pulled by a strong current. Without hesitation, Bryce and his friends jumped into the water to save them.

Isla’s quick thinking and bravery helped save her mother’s life. The Franklin Township Police Department honored her with gifts and made her an honorary police officer.
5. Lexi Shymanski
Five-year-old Lexi Shymanski displayed incredible resilience after a car crash in British Columbia. Her mother, Angela, fell unconscious while driving, causing their SUV to plummet down a 40-foot embankment.
Despite being injured, Lexi unbuckled herself from her car seat, pushed the airbag out of the way, and climbed out of the vehicle. Barefoot, she climbed up the steep embankment and flagged down passing cars for help. Thanks to Lexi, her mother and baby brother were rescued.
