10 Volcanic Eruptions Are Nuclear Tests

Tonga eruption and tsunami shock the world

Some people believe that powerful volcanic eruptions are not natural at all. Instead, they think these are secret nuclear tests. This idea gained traction a couple of years ago with the massive eruption in Tonga. The Hunga Tonga Hunga Ha’apai underwater volcano exploded with such force that it was heard over 1,400 miles away in New Zealand. It sent a huge amount of water vapor high into the atmosphere—enough to fill over 58,000 Olympic-sized pools—and caused tsunami waves across the Pacific.

Despite scientists explaining it as a natural volcanic event, social media buzzed with claims of a nuclear explosion. One TikTok video even showed a mysterious white object supposedly entering the sea before the blast. No matter the scientific evidence pointing to a volcanic eruption, conspiracy theorists hold onto their nuclear test idea.

9 Pfizer and the Tornado

Pfizer facility in Rocky Mount damaged by tornado; no serious injuries, rep says

Pfizer, the pharmaceutical company, often finds itself at the center of conspiracy theories, especially regarding COVID-19 vaccines. But one unusual theory claims that an EF3 tornado in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, was deliberately engineered. The supposed reason? So Pfizer could get a large insurance payout. Some social media users even celebrated, wrongly believing a Pfizer warehouse full of COVID-19 vaccines was the only thing hit.

In reality, the tornado did damage a Pfizer plant that makes about 25% of injectable medicines, like anesthetics and anti-infectives, for U.S. hospitals. It also destroyed homes, other buildings, and a daycare center. Yet, these facts didn’t stop the theories. Some suggested the tornado was a weather manipulation event caused by HAARP (High-frequency Active Auroral Research Program). Others insisted it was an energy weapon used to destroy some kind of “evidence.” What evidence, exactly, remains a mystery.

8 The New World Order and Australian Bushfires

Australia fires: Debunking 'arson emergency' claims - BBC News

Climate change is causing more extreme weather worldwide, including hotter, drier conditions that worsen wildfires in places like Australia. However, conspiracy theorists often deny climate change. They propose other, more sinister reasons for events like the devastating Australian bushfires. One popular theory is that the fires were deliberately set by arsonists to clear land quickly for a new high-speed rail line along Australia’s east coast.

Others believe Australia is under attack, or that Chinese billionaires are burning land to build new cities. Some theories go even further, blaming individuals working for a “New World Order.” These shadowy figures supposedly start fires to cause political instability and control the population. These ideas spread rapidly online, despite evidence linking the increased fire severity to climate change.

7 Project Blue Beam

These People Think The Government is Planning a Fake ALIEN INVASION | Project Blue Beam Ep 167

Project Blue Beam is a long-standing and very elaborate conspiracy theory. It claims that a single world government will be created using advanced technology and manipulation. This theory began in 1994 with Serge Monast, an investigative journalist and conspiracy theorist. He claimed NASA and the UN were developing a four-step plan to establish this New World Order.

According to Monast, this plan involves using holograms to fake major disasters like volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. They even plan to stage a fake alien invasion to make people lose faith in science. Project Blue Beam supposedly aims to create a new sky-based order using space weapons and fake astronomical events, and project religious symbols into the sky to trick people into accepting a one-world government. The theory also suggests that subliminal messages through TVs and other devices will make people hallucinate the “Second Coming,” uniting everyone under one leader. Despite how wild it sounds, when strange lights (likely drones) appeared in the sky in 2021, many on TikTok claimed it was the start of Project Blue Beam.

6 Antarctica Is at the Mercy of Space Aliens

Antarctica's Secret Alien Cover-Up | Ancient Aliens

Antarctica’s ice is melting rapidly, and scientists warn this could lead to natural disasters. The massive weight of ice in places like Antarctica and Greenland actually helps keep tectonic plates stable. If the ice melts too much, it could release pressure on these plates, possibly triggering huge earthquakes. Plus, melting ice shelves contribute to a dangerous rise in sea levels.

However, some conspiracy theorists believe global warming isn’t the cause. Instead, they blame space aliens! The theory goes that aliens are melting the ice, perhaps using climate manipulation technology or energy weapons, to free themselves from beneath the ice and take over Earth. Why would aliens cause worldwide flooding? One particularly strange idea is that they want to reveal a thinning veil between Earth and an interdimensional portal located under Antarctica, and melting the ice is the only way to do it, regardless of the dire consequences for our planet.

5 Population Control via Flooding

WION Climate Tracker: Australia: Conspiracy theorists spread cloud seeding claims | World News

Australia often faces extreme weather, from bushfires to severe floods. In 2022, Sydney experienced massive flooding after receiving eight months’ worth of rain in just four days, forcing 50,000 people to evacuate. While scientists pointed to climate change and phenomena like La Niña, these events fueled conspiracy theories about cloud seeding—a weather modification technique.

Social media users shared footage of pilots conducting aerial surveys, falsely claiming they were seeding clouds to cause the floods. This misinformation led to over 100 violent threats against the pilots. The theories then took an even darker turn, with claims that the Australian government was intentionally causing the floods through cloud seeding to depopulate certain areas. This idea, though completely unfounded, spread quickly online.

4 FEMA and Hurricane Sandy

Debunking the FEMA 'blackout' conspiracy

FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) is frequently targeted by conspiracy theories. During Hurricane Sandy, despite FEMA’s efforts to help, some theorists claimed the agency deliberately slowed its response for political reasons, such as trying to undermine the Obama administration. This theory still circulates, even though logistical challenges were the actual cause of any delays, not a hidden agenda.

Another persistent theory alleged that FEMA confiscated firearms from residents during the chaos of the hurricane. There’s no documented evidence of this happening, but the rumor persists. FEMA also becomes a target for non-weather-related conspiracies. For example, when FEMA announced an emergency alert system test in 2023, social media users spread warnings that the alert would activate dangerous nanoparticles in vaccinated people, a completely baseless claim.

3 The Yellowstone Supervolcano

This Yellowstone Volcano Theory Completely Changes Everything

Yellowstone’s supervolcano has erupted powerfully three times in history, with the last one occurring 664,000 years ago. Scientists don’t expect another massive eruption soon, and some believe it may never happen again. However, when scientists publish papers about hypothetical scenarios, like the aftermath of a supereruption, it can fuel conspiracy theories.

One such paper described how a Yellowstone supereruption could devastate several states and cover the Midwest in debris, causing massive loss of life. This led to theories claiming the Yellowstone caldera is about to erupt catastrophically, plunging the world into a volcanic winter. Naturally, some blame the government, believing the U.S. government is hiding the true threat for its own purposes. Others even think terrorists might try to trigger the volcano intentionally. While the terrorist idea sounds far-fetched, there was a report of a Canadian man who allegedly considered such a plot in 2015 but found it too difficult.

2 Morocco Earthquake and Laser Weapons

In September 2023, a powerful magnitude 6.8 earthquake struck Morocco’s Marrakesh-Safi region, killing nearly 3,000 people and destroying historic landmarks. It was a tragic event, felt as far away as Spain and Portugal. Yet, even amidst such suffering, bizarre conspiracy theories emerged. This time, UFOs and mysterious laser weapons were blamed.

A video circulated on X (formerly Twitter) supposedly showing a “drone” shooting lightning and a “laser-like beam” at the ground in Morocco. Though quickly debunked as an old, altered video, it had already been viewed hundreds of thousands of times. This fueled more theories, including claims that laser weapons triggered the quake or that HAARP was once again manipulating conditions. The real cause, according to scientists, was the African tectonic plate moving north and colliding with the Eurasian plate – a natural geological process.

1 Ice Age: What World Governments Don’t Want You to Know

Is an Ice Age Coming? | Space Time | PBS Digital Studios

One of the most audacious theories claims that climate change is a hoax and, believe it or not, the world is actually heading for another Ice Age. According to this theory, world governments are not only hiding this fact but are actively trying to cause this new Ice Age. Why? To gain control over resources like land, minerals, and energy, and to reduce the global population for easier control over the survivors. The alleged methods include solar dimming and triggering volcanic eruptions.

This sounds like a plot from a disaster movie, with some theorists believing various countries are colluding to bring about a permanent winter. The supposed benefits for these governments include changed global shipping routes and access to strategic territories. While an ice age is a real natural phenomenon, scientists say there’s no evidence we’re heading for one soon, even if the sun enters a quieter phase. Any cooling from a less active sun would be minor and temporary, far outweighed by human-caused global warming.

It’s fascinating how people can create such elaborate explanations for natural events. While science offers logical reasons, these theories show the power of imagination and the urge to find hidden meanings, no matter how far-fetched.
