Alli, a middle-aged mother of three, is bored with her routine. When a young and sexy couple moves in across the street, Alli starts obsessively spying on their intimate moments. This Oscar-winning drama, written and directed by Marshall Curry, is inspired by a true story told by Diane Weipert on the “Love + Radios” podcast. Maria Dizzia brilliantly portrays Alli. “The Neighbors’ Window” is a must-watch that will leave you contemplating your own life.
FTL (2017)
Ethan Kane, an astronaut, is about to complete his final mission, becoming the first man to travel at light speed. He jumps from Earth to Mars in seconds, prompting global celebration. However, the spacecraft malfunctions during the return trip, and Ethan disappears. “FTL” (Faster Than Light) is a science-fiction gem. Director Adam Stern delivers a strong and emotional film, with Ty Olsson owning the main role. It feels like a piece of a larger story, reminiscent of “2001: A Space Odyssey.”
Up On The Roof (2013)
Marcus, a troubled young boy living in poverty, has created a hideaway on a rooftop. His safe haven is threatened when his crush, Trish (played by Maisie Williams from Game Of Thrones), finds him and asks for help, triggering her abusive boyfriend Darren’s rage. Made Public (2019)
“Made Public” is a smart comedy about Dave, who ruins his wedding day after expressing doubts about marriage in a viral social media post. ReMoved (2013)
“ReMoved” tells the story of 10-year-old Zoe, who is taken from her neglecting mother and violent stepfather by Child Protective Services.
